With over 33 years’ experience working within the public service sector I have a varied experience of life and its challenges. What I realised is that there is much attention paid to the external aspects of peoples lives for example their work, life style or even standing in society that many people become isolated in their own internal worlds. The world of their feelings thoughts and beliefs. This sense of isolation can result in unhappiness and confusion. I wanted to understand more about this so I returned to education and retrained as a psychotherapeutic counsellor. Since this time, I have facilitated the process whereby people can reconnect with who they really are and have been able to take the steps forward into living a far more fulfilling life, through a self-exploratory examination of where they are now and where they would like to be.
Some of the areas of counselling I deal with include;
- Low self confidence
